Random....

In this blog I’m going to write about anything that comes to mind because it’s my choice blog and I need to get it done before class ends. I have 15 minutes to do this blog so I’m trying to work fast on it. First ill talk about my true best friends; Joe Foss, Eric Roth, Chase Huston, and Domenic Brotz, these kids are always there for me and I know without a doubt they always will be. I hang out with these kids every weekend, and we don’t get sick of each other. They always know how to make people laugh and where ever we go, we attract attention, you can say we attract attention because we are just so good looking, or that we are hilarious wherever we go. I love being with my friends because it always puts me in a good mood. Another thing ill type about is my injury I got this football season vs. Depew. I sprained my ankle against Depew and I was so upset, I didn’t know what was wrong with it and I didn’t want to think about it. Ive been sitting out the past 3 weeks because I just cant get it back to the way it used to be. It sucks, but we have Corey B in for me as my backup and he’s doing a great job carrying the workload for the team. It’s hard watching my team play and I cant be out there helping them, but I need to get my ankle right for the season down the road. I’ve recently been cleared to play this Friday which is tomorrow, but I am not sure if I will because I know Corey will carry the team to another victory. I don’t think I will play tomorrow because our team is a great team, we have many players that get the job done, our line, Brian Stoldt, and Corey B. But that is all for this blog, I love my team, and see you all at the Ralph :]

After High School....

It is very scary to think about that I have almost half a year left of high school… After high school, I would like to go to college, I don’t know where yet but I do know that I want to play college football. I want to play college football because I love the sport, and I don’t think I’d be happy if I wasn’t doing something I love. I would like to go to college and study Criminal Justice. I want to study criminal justice because I like the “fast paced” work that you go into after college. I would like to become a DEA agent, that’s a Drug Enforcement Administration. They have a blood rushing job. I would also like to become a DEC officer, that’s Department Environmental Conservative Officer. These officers have the most authority over any one in the field of law. They can walk into your house without a warrant or anything; they just need a reason to tell you why. I also would like this job because I love being outdoors and that is where this job is based, out in the wilderness. Another job I would not mind is being Border Patrol. A lot of people in my family have been Border Patrol and I haven’t heard anything but good things about it. Its down south but hey, a jobs a job, and if you’re making money, and I mean good money, who cares. I also want to move to Myrtle Beach or Florida because I love the warm weather. I would buy a Crotch Rocket, and drive that year round.

Best Class EVER!

My favorite class so far, would have to be Online Publishing, not only because my favorite teacher teaches it but because I believe it’s helping my spelling, and grammer, and punctuation. It’s kind of easy to pick my favorite class because im a senior now and I have fewer classes than I did in the previous years. In online publishing we are allowed to socialize as long as we get our work done, and if we don’t get our work done, we suffer big consequences and Mr. Currin gets very angry. This class is fun because I have a lot of friends in it, Big Brian Stoldt, Big Bad Mike Steffan, Bill One Cent, Phil Dino Bifulco, and Kyle Klug are in this class which is a blast to have with them, and I am sorry if your name is not on here, im trying to rush through so I can finish everything, but everyone in this class is my friend so don’t feel bad. We also have casual Fridays on some Fridays, this is where people bring in food, and we eat, but we eat while we work because we are obviously running a newspaper here. I like this class because we get to write and it gets published on the internet for everyone to read, and people comment on it. I like that people are able to comment on it because it makes me want to make more articles for people to read. I can’t really compare this class to any class I’ve previously been in because this class is really fun. So that’s it for this blog, if you have the chance to take online publishing next year, take it, you wont regret it.

A few people can change you, in many ways..

The coach that has impacted me would be my coaching staff for my Junior and Senior Year of football. Coach Diminuco, Coach Zaccardo, Coach Currin, and Coach Gawron have pushed me every practice, every weight room session, and every game to give the best effort I could, and more. I’m happy to be placed on this football team with this coaching staff, because they don’t just teach you how to be the greatest football player you can be, they teach the team life skills, they teach us how to man up and work hard. I honestly could say: I don’t know what kind of kid I would be without these coaches on my “A” as Coach Diminuco would put it. Coach Currin, also my old English Eleven teacher, and now my online publishing teacher impacted me in a way too. Coach Currin is always there for me whenever I need help with anything, and I mean anything. He could get annoying once in a while but its only because I am either not doing the right thing or I’m slacking off in class, so it’s for my own good that he gets on my case, because he always tells me, he wants me to succeed in school, in football, and when we’re out of school and off the field, I can say with 100% honesty, he’s impacted me by always getting on my case and pushing me to do better. The person that has impacted me most though, is my dad. My dad has been there since day one, always pushing me to do my best, in sports, school, and when I’m not in school. My dad has coached all my little league sports teams, and that means a whole lot to me because he was there for me no matter what the case is. These men have truly impacted my life in MANY ways. I don’t think I’ve said thank you to anyone of them, but I should start now, thank you, to all of you.

Paws Up For Jamey

Recently, a young Buffalo boy recently committed suicide because he was bullied. Bullying in general is a stupid thing to do, but when you take it to the next level and bully someone so bad that they end their life, you should not even be considered a person. Bullying to that extent is not ethical. These “tough guys” that picked on Jamey should be punished with first degree murder. They told him that the world would be a better place without him, and they also said he should’ve never been born. This suicide sparked such a tragedy that Celebrity Singer Lady GaGa started Tweeting about his death on her Twitter. Lady GaGa is known for her anti-bullying ways, and her backbone for gay rights. Lady GaGa even had a tribute concert in memory of Jamey. Jamey was going to school being bashed by almost every one he walked by in the halls, that’s just terrible. Another sad thing about this incident is that the teachers didn’t do anything about Jamey being bullied, I’m sure they knew what was going on, but they never tried to put an end to it which is just terrible. Bullying in general is just one of the lowest things you can do. Not saying that I never “bullied” someone because I’ve said a few hurtful things to some people in my life that I shouldn’t have said because words do hurt people, words may even drive them into committing suicide unfortunately, I think everyone should read up on this bullying case, and try to end bullying, or try to make an impact. This is a sad subject to see a 14 year old, who hasn’t even lived half of his life up, took his life because of people in his school bashing on him, and going on facebook to talk crap to him, he couldn’t get away from it and unfortunately he took his life. Because of this tragedy the N0H8 Campaign was started, as well as the Paws up For Jamey.

Best Restaurant in Alden!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Alden is loaded with pizzerias such as, Geoffanos, Carbone’s, John & Mary’s, Gregarios, Town Line Pizza, and La Paloma’s, but there are “hidden” local family owned restaurants, such as the WAK also known as, The West Alden Kitchen, and there also is G.D.I’s which is also a local family owned restaurant. I know a lot of people love these two restaurants as much as I do. If I had to pick a favorite out of these two, I’d say it would be a hard choice but I would definitely go for The West Alden Kitchen. In my class right now, I have the owner’s daughter of the West Alden Kitchen in my class… OMG. The West Alden Kitchen has a variety of breakfast foods, as well as lunch and dinner meals. My favorite breakfast from there would be the Farmer’s Breakfast. It is the most delicious breakfast I have ever eaten . My favorite thing to eat there for lunch and dinner would both be The BBQ Chicken Finger Melt, yes, it is even more delicious than it sounds, The BBQ Chicken Finger Melt comes with a side of French Fries and a side of coleslaw. The food isn’t the only thing I like about The West Alden Kitchen, I aslo love that the waitress’s there are very nice and are actually down to earth with the customer. The food isn’t all that expensive either, it is a very affordable, delicious restaurant to eat at. The food doesn’t even take long for it to be served, and it’s never that packed! As Pizzerias go, my favorite pizza would have to come from Geoffanos. In my opinion they have the best pizza in Alden. For chicken wings, I would have to go with Carbones, but when you want a nice delicious sub, definitely go to John & Marys and have John Ridelspurg make your sub!

Top School Lunches... Delicous, but a home cooked meal would be better.

Here in Alden High School there are a few lunches that come out on top to be everyone’s favorites. I specifically can’t pick one to be my favorite so I will pick a few lunches that I really like. One of the best lunches in this high school would have to be chicken patties I believe the chicken patty is the best lunch in this school because it tastes good, and it fills you up. The high school makes two different kinds of chicken patties, you can get a regular chicken patty, or you can get a hot and spicy chicken patty which is my favorite. On the chicken patty you must put lettuce, bleu cheese, and hot sauce on it, well only if you want the best tasting sandwich ever. The pizza here is also good, but not as good as last year… Last year we had Big Daddy pizza that everyone loved, and thought was delicious, but since the Big Daddy pizza companies building collapsed Alden High School will no longer be serving Big Daddy pizza… Bummer. Another great lunch would have to be taco day. Taco day is everyone’s favorite lunch. On taco day you can pick a variety of ways you can get your taco. You can get a soft shell taco, a hard shell taco, a taco in a bag, or you can also get taco salad. My favorite would be a soft shell taco, or taco salad. To complete your meal you have to get tortilla chips, rice, and a churro. You must put hot sauce on your rice and on your taco, you also must add sour cream to your taco, and a few jalapeƱos to your taco, as well as cheese and lettuce. If you follow all those steps on taco day, you will enjoy the best taco created. These are my top lunches in Alden High School, and they’re delicious.. for school food that is. I’d still rather eat at home, or a restaurant..
