Ralph and MW3

Yet again another choice blog where I can write about whatever I want. In this choice blog, I will be writing about playing at Ralph Wilson Stadium, yes I said it, we (the Alden Bulldogs) played there. Playing at Ralph Wilson Stadium is something exciting. It’s a huge deal in a small town. Walking on to the field and seeing how many fans were in the stands was crazy just to see how much support we have. The Alden Bulldogs have played at the Ralph the past 3 years, ending up 2-1. I was on the field for 3 years, and experienced 2 wins while playing on the turf. Playing on the field this year didn’t seem like a big deal, but it was, we’ve been there before so we didn’t act excited as the other teams that never have been there before did. Playing on that field and getting a win on the field was just the best feeling ever and I know I’ll remember it for the rest of my life because Coach Diminuco told me that I will remember it. We won at the Ralph and now we are traveling to Rochester to go play 2 time State Defending Champions; Hornell. Hornell beat us last year on our road to states so this game means a lot to us to get to have the shot to play them again. Hornell is a very good football team, and they are very well respected. We have a lot of heart and hard work coming into this game and we’re planning on getting a W Saturday at 3. I would also like to tell everyone that I went to get COD MW3 at the midnight release. The game is awesome. It’s no big deal but I am already level 31. Get on my level.

Holliday Traditions...

My family has many many traditions that we celebrate when it comes to the holiday season. In this blog I am going to write about our Thanksgiving Traditions and our Christmas Traditions. On Thanksgiving my family goes to my Grandparents house and we all watch football and share some laughs and eat some snacks. When dinner is ready, we all go in the dining room and eat at the big dining room table. At my grandmothers its tradition that she makes her turkey, broccoli rice and cheese casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and corn. Every Thanksgiving my grandma makes sure she buys 4 buttered lambs and makes sure she has a lot of dinner rolls because that’s my favorite part of the meal. After dinner, we all go back into the living-room and watch some more football.
a Traditions that my family has for Christmas is that a few days before Christmas, we go to my dad’s side of the family and spend “Christmas” with my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. My aunt Debbie makes these sweet cinnamon rolls that are sooo delicious I just ask for a few plates of those for Christmas. They are defiantly a favorite on that side of the family. Another tradition that we have is that my parents always buy me and my brothers’ new pajamas and we open them up the night before Christmas. We’ve been opening pajamas before Christmas for as far as I can remember. On Christmas morning we open up our presents and go to my grandmothers. A typical Christmas at my grandmothers is hectic because so many people are there. Just like we do on Thanksgiving, football is always on. Later in the night, you will find my grandpa watching “A Christmas Story.” I’m sure I missed a few traditions, but that’s all I can think of for now.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas....

There are a lot of holidays that we all celebrate here in this wonderful country, but how many of them do we celebrate with our family? My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas, no not because of the presents and all of that nonsense. The real meaning of the holiday is to be with your family, well that’s the way I see it. Christmas is my favorite holiday, because besides family, the snow that covers the trees, the ground, everything, it all looks so nice. I also like Christmas because of the long break that we have. Christmas is the greatest holiday because everyone gets so happy and filled with Christmas spirit which brightens my mood because I hate when people seem depressed. Christmas is a great time for me because I like going to the mall and buying things for my friends, family, and myself. It’s also a good time for me because I get to see the family I barely ever see. During Christmas break I like to stay home all day to spend time with my family, but when the night time comes along I go and hangout with my friends. As we get older, people say Christmas isn’t what it used to be. They say this because they don’t believe in “santa” anymore, but I say Christmas is what you make of it, if you make it fun and exciting then you will once, fall in love with the holiday of Christmas again!
